Our Role as a Referral Service

IMPORTANT: United Lanes LLC is NOT a licensed insurance provider, insurance agent, or insurance broker. We do not sell, underwrite, or issue insurance policies.

We are a referral service that connects motor carriers seeking trucking insurance with licensed insurance professionals who can provide quotes and coverage. Our specialists have expertise in trucking insurance and help educate carriers about their coverage needs, but all insurance products are provided through our licensed referral partners.

Services We Provide

• Information and Education: We provide information about trucking insurance requirements, coverage types, and industry considerations
• Referral Services: We connect you with licensed insurance professionals who can provide quotes
• Coordination: We facilitate communication between carriers and licensed insurance providers
• Quote Assistance: We help gather information needed for insurance quotes
• Guidance: We provide general guidance about coverage options and requirements

Services We Do NOT Provide

• Insurance Policies: We do not issue, underwrite, or sell insurance policies
• Licensed Advice: We do not provide advice that requires an insurance license
• Direct Binding: We cannot bind coverage or issue certificates of insurance
• Claims Handling: We do not process or adjust insurance claims
• Legal or Tax Advice: We do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice

All insurance quotes, policies, and related services are provided by our licensed referral partners who are independent insurance professionals authorized to transact insurance in applicable states.

Use of Our Services

Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be authorized to obtain insurance for the motor carrier you represent
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Your Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

• Provide Accurate Information: Give truthful, accurate, and complete information about your business, operations, drivers, and vehicles
• Update Information: Notify us promptly of any changes to information you have provided
• Cooperate: Work with our licensed referral partners in good faith during the quote and application process
• Compliance: Maintain compliance with all FMCSA, DOT, and applicable state regulations
• Authorized Use: Use our services only for legitimate business purposes

Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use our services for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt our services
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our Site without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm our staff or referral partners

Information Collection and Use

Information You Provide

When you request quotes or use our services, you will provide information about your trucking operation, including but not limited to:

• Personal and business contact information
• MC/DOT numbers and authority information
• Driver information and records
• Vehicle information and VINs
• Operating details and cargo types
• Insurance history and claims information

Public Information

We may access publicly available information about your motor carrier operation from government databases, including:

• FMCSA SAFER database
• DOT databases
• State motor carrier databases
• Other public records related to your operating authority

Sharing with Licensed Partners

You understand and agree that when you request insurance quotes through our services, we will share your information with our licensed referral partners. These licensed insurance professionals will use your information to:

• Prepare insurance quotes
• Submit applications to insurance carriers
• Underwrite and bind insurance policies
• Provide ongoing policy service

Data Use

By using our services, you consent to:

• Our collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy
• Sharing your information with licensed insurance professionals for quote purposes
• Our referral partners accessing publicly available information about your operation
• Communication from us and our referral partners regarding your quote request

No Guarantee of Coverage or Rates

Quote Requests

Requesting a quote through our services does NOT:

• Guarantee that coverage will be available
• Guarantee any specific price or rate
• Create any obligation for you to purchase insurance
• Create any obligation for insurers to offer coverage
• Bind coverage or provide any insurance protection

Market Availability

Insurance availability and pricing depend on numerous factors including:

• Your operating history and loss experience
• Driver records and qualifications
• Types of cargo and operations
• Current insurance market conditions
• Underwriting guidelines of insurance carriers
• State and federal regulatory requirements

No Warranty

We make no representations or warranties regarding:

• Availability of coverage for your operation
• Pricing or rates you will be quoted
• Terms and conditions of insurance policies
• Actions or decisions of insurance carriers or licensed professionals
• Timing of quote delivery or policy issuance

Relationship with Licensed Referral Partners

Independent Professionals

Our referral partners are independent licensed insurance professionals. They are not our employees or agents. Each licensed professional:

• Holds their own insurance licenses
• Operates under their own authority
• Makes their own business decisions
• Is responsible for their own professional conduct
• Has their own terms, policies, and procedures

No Control Over Partners

We do not control the actions, decisions, or business practices of our referral partners. We are not responsible for:

• The quality of service provided by licensed professionals
• Coverage recommendations or advice given by licensed professionals
• Quotes, policies, or terms offered by insurance carriers
• Errors, omissions, or professional conduct of licensed partners
• Claims handling or policy service issues
• Disputes between you and licensed professionals or insurance carriers

Disclaimer of Warranties

As-Is Basis

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

No Professional Advice

Information provided through our services is for general educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. We are not licensed to provide insurance advice, and nothing we communicate should be construed as insurance advice requiring a license.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, United Lanes LLC, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO OUR SERVICES EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless United Lanes LLC from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or inaccurate information provided by you.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Nebraska, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Arbitration: Any dispute arising from these Terms that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Lancaster County, Nebraska.

Class Action Waiver: You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits and agree that disputes will be resolved individually.
